Who we are: Nexus is the leading organisation in Northern Ireland supporting individuals impacted by sexual abuse and abusive relationships, with a history rooted in community response and a continued commitment to compassionate, person-centred support.

What we do: Nexus provides trauma-informed support through education, training and awareness programmes, specialist aftercare promoting recovery and independence, and a 24-hour helpline offering confidential advice and support, helping individuals, professionals and inclusive communities prevent abuse, respond effectively and build safer, healthier relationships.

Who we’re looking for: We are seeking a Chair who shares Nexus’ values and vision. You’ll bring the ability to build strong relationships, support and develop fellow trustees, and create an environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed, debate is constructive and governance is effective.

In addition, we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Public affairs, policy or government relations
• Communications, media or public engagement
• Income generation, fundraising or business development
