NI Chair and Trustee opportunity now closed and candidate successfully appointed

Who we are

The Stroke Association gives life-changing support to over 65,000 stroke survivors and carers across Northern Ireland and Great Britain each year through our local face-to-face stroke recovery services and our telephone and online support services.

We have an ambitious, high performing team of approximately 700 staff and 3000 volunteers, who are focused on delivering a new strategy with clear goals.

What we are looking for

As part of our succession planning, we are seeking a new NI Chair and Trustee to join us in bringing wise governance and strategic guidance as we continue to pursue our vision: for there to be fewer strokes, and for people affected by stroke to get the help they need to live the best life they can.

Like Wales and Scotland, Northern Ireland has its own Stroke Association NI Advisory Group, which will by chaired by the successful candidate, in addition to sitting on the UK-wide board. Our goal, and a key priority in this recruitment process, is for the Board and Committees to increase the diversity of perspective brought to bear on issues being considered.
